Personal History
Joe has been involved in urban ministry since 1983, mostly here in Tulsa. He also served as pastor for 13 years areas just north of Dallas, Texas. He has been married to his beautiful wife, Rosa, since 1983, and they have 11 children and 10 grandchildren.
He graduated from The University of Tulsa (B.S.) with a bachelors in finance in 1981 and post-graduate work in education in 1982. In 1990, he graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (M.D.I.V.).
Heart and Hope for Our Church
Psalm 37:3 “Trust the Lord and do good” and John 1:14 “…and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth” are verses that catch the heart and passion of my life. By amazing grace, I have seen something of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ and it is transforming me to trust Him more and do good. I want to be a part of helping Springs of Grace take our love for this glorious Jesus to a higher level – to love all the people He gives us to love and to love them well and love them for a long time, if the Lord allows. I see Springs of Grace as a community of people, being changed by seeing and knowing Jesus, that are demonstrating His heart in this city and around the world and through those acts of love and doing good – building relationships that allow us to share the great hope of the gospel – the person of Jesus Christ.
