Thankful for all the ways God helps prepare His Word for His people. We view preaching as the work of getting the translation and interpretation of the passage correct through prayer, study, and help of the Holy Spirit’s work in our lives and the lives of others; striving to get those truths into our own hearts and make them our pursuit; and then seek to communicate it and pass it on to others here at Springs in the best and most helpful way. We (Joe and elders at Springs) do not see ourselves as originators of truth. We do not seek any praise or ownership of what is shared. While, we do not always fully quote or reference the sources of all material in the sermons, we unapologetically stand on the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives and much more in the lives of others over the years. Throughout the study of 1 Peter Edmund Clowney, Tim Keller, John Piper, Karen Jobes, Bishop Leighton, Charles Spurgeon, and others have been particularly helpful. All glory to God
