Tyler was born in Eugene, Oregon to a family of seven. In his early twenties, Christ came and found him by His gospel of grace and changed the course of his life forever. Tyler went to The Master’s College in California to play baseball and learn more about God and His Word. He majored in Biblical Counseling, and as graduation approached Paster Joe Blankenship presented an internship opportunity at The Master’s College inviting people with a desire to share the love of Christ with the inner city of Tulsa through God’s Word and sports. The connection between the two things he was most passionate about led Tyler to Tulsa. His desire since coming here has been to continue in the work that God has called him to – to be a good soldier of the Lord Jesus Christ that walks in a manner that is worthy of his calling and to strive side-by-side for the faith of the gospel in the lives of the people that God is drawing to Himself in this great harvest of Tulsa and ultimately the world. Since coming to Tulsa, Tyler married his beautiful wife Hannah in 2011 and now has three children, Isaiah, Talitha, and Tirzah.
