"…to the praise of the glory of His grace…" Ephesians 1:6

Prayer For The Persecuted Church

Acts 12:13-16 “And when he knocked at the door of the gateway, a servant girl named Rhoda came to answer. 14 Recognizing Peter’s voice, in her joy she did not open the gate but ran in and reported that Peter was standing at the gate. 15 They said to her, “You are out of your mind.” But she kept insisting that it was so, and they kept saying, “It is his angel!” 16 But Peter continued knocking, and when they opened, they saw him and were amazed.”
It is interesting that one of the first recorded prayer meetings following Pentecost finds the church on their knees on behalf of a persecuted believer. Even though their faith was small, their God was not. Hebrews 13:3 commands us to ‘remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them, and those who are mistreated, since you also are in the body.’

This Sunday, November 3rd, is the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church. Let’s enter into this battle through prayer.
