Pray For…The Dai Lu of Myanmar
As you are praying for Myanmar (Burma) I would highly recommend one of my favorite missionary biographies to you. It is “To The Golden Shore: A Biography of Adoniram Judson”. I hope you will find it as encouraging and challenging as I have.

The Dai Lu are originally from China but many migrated to Myanmar and other nearby countries when China became a Communist country. Meanwhile, Myanmar, itself, has experienced a history of turmoil that has not been kind to the Dai Lu. Human rights have deteriorated in Myanmar over the past couple of decades under the military junta that governs the country. Today, Myanmar is considered a restricted nation concerning the Gospel. Christianity is generally viewed as harmful to the state. This is particularly disturbing since there has been little proclamation of the Gospel among the Dai Lu in Myanmar up to this point. There are very few Dai Lu believers and no active church planting. Almost all of the Dai Lu adhere to Buddhism with animistic beliefs mixed in. Situated just near the eastern boarder of Myanmar, most Dai Lu farm rice and live in tightly knit family units. In addition, the Dai Lu are closely attached to their customs and social structures.
•Pray for the spread of the Gospel amongst the Dai Lu and all peoples in Myanmar.
•Pray for God to reveal Himself as the Most High God who is the Creator and Sustainer of all creation.
•Pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out works to the Dai Lu to further His name among the nations.
•Ask God to fill them with His Spirit that they may be faithful witnesses for Christ and grow in the knowledge of God.
