We just finished an exciting week as One Hope & Springs of Grace partnered with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes in hosting a free Sports Camp for the kids of Tulsa that we love and minister to. The LORD helped in amazing ways: there were over 200 campers, nearly 50 volunteers to work the camp (including the Springs of Grace interns and staff), God gave us tremendous weather, and many campers were introduced to the person of Jesus Christ as the great Hope for sinners.

Rex Blankenship taught all of our volunteers each night about Relentless Hope from Romans 4 and 5 and challenged us to share and show that hope to the kids each morning.

It was the first major camp we have run at the Rose Bowl (and that in itself is a great answer to prayer that many of us have sought the Lord on for years). The use of the Rose Bowl and McClure Park made for a wonderful venue to love and nurture kids. We exposed them to many sports but that created opportunities to build relationships that opened the door for us to begin communicating to them the HOPE who is Jesus.

Thanks for praying and please continue to pray that many of these children and youth will plug into our tutoring program (getAHEAD); our Sports Club for junior high and high school guys on Fridays; our Girls Club for junior and senior high girls on Fridays; into our youth bible studies and small groups; for many of them to return for our PROJECT 61 on July 22nd-26th and that families will begin gathering with us on Sundays.
