It has been a great joy to pour into the lives of the interns this summer. This is one of the great ministries the Lord has given us as a church family. It is awesome to consider what the Lord may do through the lives of these interns in the years to come, if the Lord tarries. I have been awed by the work of God in and through this intern group. They have grown in love and truth and I have been challenged as I’ve watched them pour themselves out for the people God has given us to love.

I hope you will join us tomorrow, this Sunday, as we pray for our interns on their last official Sunday at Springs this summer. We have a bible study time at 9:45 where we will take some time to pray for this group and then I will be preaching during our 10:45 worship service from Galatians 3 a message I am praying God uses in all of our lives but especially in the lives of our interns.

We will have a 6:00 pm service where each of them will be sharing some highlights about the summer. That service will be followed by a sandwich and desert fellowship . Please bring some sandwiches to share and maybe a dessert as well. The church will provide the drinks and paper goods.

Intern appreciation Sunday is a bitter/sweet time. These interns have become a part of our lives and our church family and we hope to be able to support and encourage them the rest of their lives. We hate to see them go (the ones that are) but are very excited about the new ministry opportunities the Lord is putting before them.
