"…to the praise of the glory of His grace…" Ephesians 1:6

Sunday Information August 9th and Prayer Requests

Dear Springs of Grace Church Family,
Grace and peace. I hope and pray you have had a blessed week. I hope you have walked in the joy of the gifts in the inheritance that Jesus has left us of the Holy Spirit and His peace this past week. I’ve really been helped by the passage at the end of John 14 and am excited to share with you about it tomorrow. I think these truths lived out will be a “game changer” for many of us – at least that is what I am asking the Lord to do through it.

This also marks the last week of our summer internship. We have been incredibly blessed by this ministry over the years and the impact on our church that it has produced. I’m very thankful for Nate and Miriam Boone and the incredible job they do in leading this ministry effort. As I have talked with interns this week, I am reminded of the many former interns that have changed their life direction (and many their geographical location) because of the Lord’s work through the internship. This group has expressed many of those same impacts. Please express your thanks to the interns personally for investing their summer and express your thanks to Miriam and Nate and all of those who have given time and money and meals and volunteer hours to make the summer so impactful. The Lord is good.

I have talked this week with several school administrators/teachers and parents about the decisions regarding the pandemic and I would encourage you to continue to pray for them. They continue to express their primary concern over the increased hospitalizations in our city and state and the potential impact that has on the health on non-COVID patients as well as COVID patients. We want to continue to lay down our rights and passions for others in all the ways we can – while we walk with a hope and confidence the world doesn’t have, but desperately needs. This world system seeks to divide us and destroy us, and we need to keep asking God for the wisdom to love one another well. So, please resist the urge to be critical of the decision makers but pray for them and seek to be supportive.

Pray for the furtherance of the gospel in word and deed. Pray for our missionaries. Pray for our brothers and sisters around the world. Pray for the encouragement of their faith and for their needs to be met and for their witness to the gospel to sound forth. Pray for Lebanon and the Christians there. Pray for those who were impacted by the acts of love in the 61 projects last week – that they will see the love of God for them through them and be drawn more to seek Him. Pray for our church family.

Please consider taking some time this Saturday or Sunday to pray and/or fast for these items above.

I hope you can join us for our outdoor service this Sunday morning at 9:15. God has graciously given us great weather each week. Please continue to pray for this time. We will continue to have a livestream service at 10:45 for those who can’t attend the outdoor service. We believe God wants us to gather and these are ways that we are striving to be a faithful church fulfilling that command. Here is the link to tomorrow’s livestream service: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hVsUXR30lNk or you can always go to our website (www.springsofgrace.church) to get the link or to get details about the church.
If you have questions or needs, please let us know. Striving to be His church, by His grace, for His glory.

Love you very much,
Pastor Joe
