Dear Springs of Grace Church Family,
Praise the Lord for His goodness and His kindness to the sons of men. Blessings to you all.
This Sunday, we will be meeting OUTDOORS on the church lawn at 7123 E. 7th Street at 10:30 am. It is forecast to be pretty cold (great football and hunting weather and I’m sure great outdoor church weather!!!!). Dress warm, bring blankets or whatever to stay warm and let’s gather and worship together our blessed Lord Jesus. I know that it will not be best for some of you to come out in the cold and I want to encourage you to join us on line for our livestream of the service. You can join us here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qu12ZyG6d4I
We are called as Christians to represent Jesus here on earth and to walk in love. We are not making decisions about where to meet and how because we are afraid for our own safety, but rather as an opportunity for us to think of others more highly than our selves.
I heard from a COVID care medical worker this week that had to care for someone who died from COVID and at least a part of the cause was the lack of availability of an ICU bed. Medical personnel tell us that wearing masks and meeting outdoors helps minimize the spread of this disease. We are hopeful that the vaccines will begin making a difference soon. There are so many ways people are being impacted and struggling in these days and I am praying that God will help each of us know the best ways to love one another and our neighbors.
Please be in prayer for the Peters who have arrived in Albania.
I have been greatly helped by the truths from Jesus’ prayer in John 17 and am particularly excited to share with you tomorrow the rich truths from this text. I am praying for you and praying that God will use these truths in our lives for our good and His glory.
I listened to one member of Springs of Grace describe our church this week to someone who had never attended Springs. One of the things he shared was that Springs of Grace had shown him enduring love and taught him how to endure. I see that in Jesus and I pray that we will exhibit His enduring love well in the coming days.
These certainly are challenging days, but I remain hopeful in God’s call on our church to make a difference in this city, for His glory.
If you have questions or needs, please let us know. Striving to be His church, by His grace, for His glory.
Love you very much,
Pastor Joe
