Dear Springs of Grace Church Family,
Jesus said in John 15:5 “Apart from Me, you can do nothing.” I believe that but too often forget it.
I am reminded of four huge truths as we enter 2024.
1) “Nothing is impossible with God” (Luke 1:37).
2) God is our good Father and He is always the source of what is good (James 1:17).
3) God is for us (Romans 8:31).
4) And Apart from Him, we can do nothing that has any eternal significance – nothing that truly matters.
Prayer week is one of the ways we express that we do actually believe these truths. Prayer is something we can do alone. But the Lord’s Prayer given to us as a model for our praying, like so many of the prayers of Scripture, was a prayer prayed together with other lovers and followers of Jesus. I understand that there are different times that work for different ones of us in gathering together to pray and you might not be able to make all the times, but please make it a priority to gather with the saints as much as you can in person, and when you can’t – join your hearts and prayers with us.
The prayer schedule is below. If you want to get with some others in the church to pray at other times…lead the way – but this provides many good opportunities.
We don’t have prayer week once a year because that is the one week of the year when we pray. Prayer Week is a reminder that all that we do at Springs is dependent on God hearing and answering our prayers. So, join us for prayer week 2024.

Sunday, January 7th
10:00-10:20 am – prayer time in Room 1 – (praying for our neighbors specifically around the SOG neighborhood…. that the Lord would lead them to our SOG family, and whatever is on your heart)
10:30 am – Worship service with prayer emphasis and prayer times as a part of the worship service.
Monday, January 8th
Noon Prayer 12:00 Noon – 1:00 pm in church auditorium (praying for families, singles, marriages & other things on your heart)
Tuesday, January 9th
Evening Prayer – 6:30-7:30 pm at church auditorium (praying for the preaching and teaching of God’s Word through all of the ministries of Springs of Grace/One Hope and across our world)
Wednesday, January 10th
Morning Prayer 6:30-7:30 am in church auditorium (focusing on praying for the hurting around the world and whatever is on your heart)
6:00 pm Community Outreach Meal at Rose Bowl (Pastor Joe/others will lead a prayer time for our community)
Thursday, January 11th
Morning Prayer 6:30-7:30 am at church auditorium (focusing on praying for the ministries of Springs of Grace/One Hope and whatever is on your heart)
Thursday evening – encourage Springs of Grace church family to host others in their homes or apartments for prayer.
Friday, January 12th
Encourage Springs of Grace Church family to pray in their own homes together for Springs of Grace and the advancing of God’s kingdom.
Saturday, January 13th
7:00-9:00 pm Secret Church at auditorium – worship and extended prayer time
Sunday, January 14th
10:00-10:20 am – prayer time in room 1 (praying for our neighbors specifically around the SOG neighborhood….that the Lord would lead them to our SOG family, and whatever is on your heart)
10:30 am – worship service with prayer times and prayer emphasis as a part of the service.
