That message was largely influenced by Tim Keller’s book, “The King’s Cross”. It is a book I got to study alongside of several men in our church and it was monumental in our lives. I felt like at the time the Lord really used this truth to raise our love for God and our understanding of His purposes for us.

This Sunday I will be preaching out of the Gospel of Matthew on the baptism of Jesus. I could reproach the message from 2 years ago and be faithful to the text BUT I think there is a connection between the baptism and the temptation of Jesus that we need to see and Lord willing, that will be the focus of the message this Lord’s Day.

I do think that it would be a benefit to you to re-listen and think through the truths from the Mark 1 message. It has been for me.
