What a blessing it was to pray, study God’s Word, and sing to our Lord together this evening!
I really love secret church and am very thankful for all of you that were able to be a part of the time. For those of you who couldn’t I wanted to give a brief overview.
We had prayer times for our brothers and sisters in other countries where the church is being persecuted. We prayed for the work of God in the Philippines, Mexico, Kurdistan, and Tanzania in particular.
We also prayed for the neighborhood and more than a dozen particular individuals and families the Lord has given us opportunities to love recently right around the church through getAHEAD, One Hope athletics, and girls club.
We prayed for the unrest going on in the Ukraine and prayed for Nina, Sveta, Shaun and Hae-Jean and Hannah that are there currently or soon would be. If you haven’t seen much about the demonstrations and violence in the Ukraine, go to the BBC News website and get some more information.
We prayed for the HOPE918 ministry and the battle against human trafficking.
We prayed for the abortion crisis and adoption and that God would give us a biblically informed conscious that feels and thinks like God does about abortion.
We prayed for the Nuba people in South Sudan.
And we also prayed for many people who don’t know the Lord that God would graciously open their eyes to see the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
We were also blessed with great teaching times by Myles Roberts on the 2nd commandment. Two main points: The One God, Yahweh, will not be misrepresented and The One God, Yahweh, has named His representative – Jesus. It was wonderful, Jesus exalting worship to see Jesus as the “image” of God.
Thanks to Jamin, Erika, and Krista for helping us worship the Lord through song and for all those who helped with the nursery and snacks.
Six hours wasn’t long enough!
May the Lord hear and answer prayers for the glory of His name!
