In my message this morning I said that Jesus provided us access to God – access into the very “heart of the universe.”
I have had a couple of different people ask me about what I meant by this and that probably means that I did not explain it very well. So let me attempt to clarify.

I was reminded of it as I studied this week Mark 4:21-34 and particularly verses 24-25. “And he said to them, “Pay attention to what you hear: with the measure you use, it will be measured to you, and still more will be added to you. For to the one who has, more will be given, and from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.”
What Jesus means is, “The measure with which you measure to others will be measured to you.” Which means – the people who give the most have the most. The more you give, the more you will have. The way to fullness is to empty yourself. Verse 25, on the other hand, is saying, “Givers have more and more to give. Graspers, keepers, will have less and less to hold onto.” Giving, emptying yourself, is the way to fullness.
